CFW 2015 Summary Move to Impact

Our Commitment to Communities:
At Corporate Fitness Works, we share a passion for inspiring physical activity that goes beyond our managed facilities.  Our desire to help and motivate individuals is so strong; it doesn’t stop at the end of our workday!  We recognize this as an invaluable trait that contributes not only to the success of our organization, but to the betterment of the communities we serve.

It is our mission to provide comprehensive wellness and fitness solutions that inspire healthy, active cultures.  With the intent to Move Everybody, we are committed to generating a positive influence of physical activity across communities where we live, work, and play.  We have established a corporate volunteer and outreach program to support this cause, our Move to Impact program. Through Move to Impact, we extend resources and promote opportunities to encourage team involvement in philanthropic endeavors that specifically target population health and physical activity.

The Move to Impact program began in 2013 and was successfully relaunched in 2015 to reach our growing work force. With the relaunch, our commitment to community has been strengthened. Our caring and passionate Team Leaders have demonstrated this through their support of the program. In 2015, Corporate Fitness Works Team Leaders donated 2,000 hours and $21,650 to charitable organizations nationally. In 2016, the Move to Impact Committee has set a goal of 2,500 hours of service.

Community Champions
Along with the 2015 relaunch of the Move to Impact Program, the network of Community Champions nationally has been expanded. Community Champions are an imperative part of the program, as they encourage Team Leader community involvement in the geographical regions they support. At the start of the program, there were 12 champions which has grown to 15 today.

Charity Alignment
In 2015, the Move to Impact Committee (with the help of the Community Champions) selected three national charities to align with to generate a larger impact in our donation of time and funds. The charities selected include:
    •    The Wounded Warrior Project
    •    Special Olympics
    •    Girls on the Run

Golf Tournament
Corporate Fitness Works’ annual Golf Tournament provided a perfect opportunity to show our support of The Wounded Warrior Project. Proceeds from the sale of mulligan cards and generous donations allowed us to make a donation of $1,000 to The Wounded Warrior Project in 2015.

Universal Season of Giving
2015 marked the second annual Universal Season of Giving.  A Universal Season of Giving is a program incorporating our clients, members, and Team Leaders in the spirit of community service in the fourth quarter of the year. In 2015, One Warm Coat was selected as the beneficiary, however Team Leaders were also encouraged to participate in client sponsored charitable initiatives or volunteer independently. In total 46 coats were donated and charities such as local animal shelters reaped the rewards of the program as well.

In 2016, Corporate Fitness Works challenges our Team Leaders to continue to create a culture of physical activity in our sites across the country, as well as the communities where we live, work, and play. A lofty goal of 2,500 hours of service has been announced, however with the passion and power behind the Corporate Fitness Works organization – we’ll knock it out of the park!
